I note on George Cohen's web site that he advacates running primary chains with 1 to 11/2inch slack. (3/8 to 1/2inch normal) Anyone with any experience? John
The previous owner of my "54 ES2 crammed the timing case with thick grease - presumably to queten a sloppy chan which I hve now adjusted.

I removed the oil tank from my 1955 Model 88. Under the bottom, there are two bolt mounts through the oil tank platform, and another into the side of the tool tray. Oddly, mine has one bolt, and a stud with a nut.

Hi - hoping for help to source a crank assembly (fly wheels and con rod) for my 1936 18T.
New or used. I have located three 2nd hand sets now - all cracked!
Wheels are 1" thick, 8" diameter.
I'm booked on the rally and now need to sort my accommodation out. Ideally I'd like to stay in one of the 'Luna' mobile homes but I'm going on my own andyou need to book them as a 3 or 4.
Could anyone offer general advice on proccess and product for lining of petrol tanks against the dreaded ethanol please.

Hello Chaps, I want to replace the 'O' rings on the swinging arm pivot end covers on my Mk2A (one with a grease nipple for sae140 oil).
Given that a Dave Taylor headsteady is a "good thing"are there any issues about the engine being 1/4" off set to the left, is there any problem about running out of adjustment, general lack of room or any thing like that?
My 1951 ES2 has what might be the original saddle plus a modern replica and both have been installed with various springs, hardware and brackets.
I'm looking to replace some of the very corrodedshrouds on the plunger spring units on ES2. Does anyone know where I can source some originals in good condition or failing that, quality replacements ?

This was recently sold on ebay, the open end is 1" Whitworth I believe. Is this for the fork head race adjuster nut?

I HAVE JUST COMPLETED A REBUILD ON MY SECOND ES2 AND HAVE HAD A DATING SERT FROM NOC, HAVE SENT THE REQUIRED COMPLETED FORM AND PHOTOS ETC TO DVLA ALL GOOD SO FAR.

Hi ,have come upon a nice manx copy hub and rim in aluminium,as manx brake plate are hard to come by and very expensive what alternatives are there .the bike it will go on has Roadholder forks don't know if that makes a difference .
I don't know why the reluctance for change. The irony is, it'll never happen unless there's a majority of the 2% who want it to happen.
I propose for the 2% to vote in favour of an inclusive voting system.
