The front rim on my 1963 frame is offset to the right, I only noticed it recently after some years wondering why the bike didn't steer as perfectly as I expected. I fitted a TLS brake c/w hub some years ago from Norvil (works well).

I have '54 ES2 which acording to Haycroft should be fitted with an Amal 276AU. It is actually fitted with an Amal Monobloc wiht the numbers 376/253 stamped on it. So, some questions:
My bike has a 6v Bom battery inside the old casing ,what sort of charge does it need? . I will probably make a charger out of an old drill charger or similar.

In an effort to get the most out of my tyres I fitted a new 100-90-18 Roadrider to the front of my Fastback and the similar sized front that came off went on to the rear to be "used up" I have a WM2 rim on the front and a WM3 on the rear.

I note on George Cohen's web site that he advacates running primary chains with 1 to 11/2inch slack. (3/8 to 1/2inch normal) Anyone with any experience? John
