Hi. I am fitting a magneto to my 1962 Dominator. It was originally fitted with a distributor but when I tighten the magneto sprocket to the magneto itself with the chain fitted, the advance and retard mechanism tightens up.
Hello all !
My name is Arne and I joined up yesterday.
I have been lurking and reading the forum for some time and have found it very interesting, sometimes very entertaining and sometimes very funny.
My m50 does not lift fully off the floor when on its centre stand. I have checked the frame rails for sign of crush damage but they are fine. The feet are good and the stand not bent yet it just about supports the bike on level ground.

One of my boys bought me some vintage style handlebar levers from India. They look pretty but are useless . Just about every aspect of the manufacture is wrong. They don't even match the sales pictures and would not pass an MOT.

I thought that I would start this off.....
Other than Peace on Earth and Good Will Toward Men, what would be on your Christmas wish list:
Tonkin Tornado?
Brand new Mark III?
Some piece of unobtanium?

Having helped run another successful club which has a good magazine which the members still want delivered through their door I am fully aware how difficult it is to get copy.
I have just rebuilt my 1963 650 SS engine - it is back in the frame and ready to fire up.
There appears to be blue oil leaking from all of those Nortons in the picture carousel. It is pouring down my screen. Does the team recommend that I place a large drip tray under my screen?
Have a great Christmas everybody.
Dear all

Hi
Does anybody have a source for this part ?
My downpipe clip has fractured on the 16H and wondered if there are direct replacements.
Cheers
Stuart
Hello forum,
My name is Ferdinand van den Boomen and I am new here.
I am restoring a 16H in Holland.
The question that I have is the following:
My ES2 has the classic setup of ball bearing in the steering head and I would like to convert it to tapered bearings. I did find them for featherbed frames but not for a 1948 ES2 with plunger frame (gardengate).
I have been racing a M40 Manx GP from 1939 during the last 4yrs on Belgium circuits and the bike needed lately some seriouis attention.
