My recently purchased m50 appears rather slow compared to the one I had in 1977.

I appreciate that time plays tricks with the mind plus I am porkier than I was then,however I am disappointed with the 46mph cruise.

Just wondering whether anyone has bought a pair of the new Indian inner and outer primary chaincases off the well known auction site.

If so what is the quality and fit like.

I was more than a little annoyed to find that despite using a tyre lubricant to fit my most recent tyre, that in only about 3 months it had started to corrode the alloy rim onto the rubber. It put up a very good fight to break the bead.

My change has always been a bit stiff. having looked at everything else,I'm thinking camplate and plunger. Do we have a figure for the spring load ? It may have been swopped for something non std.

1958 Dommie owned by me since 1960. About 10 years ago I lined the petrol tank with liquid lining solution. 5years later Laid up under covers and not ridden . minimal petrol in tank. more recently covers off and refilled with petrol and ridden.

The centre stand pivot holes in the gearbox cradle on my Mk3 commando 850 have become very worn. I had them them welded up and re-drilled about 15 years ago. They were never quite in the right position after that.

It has always baffled me when working on the front end of my Commando, of which there have been a few, why the front wheel is not central.

The bike is a 1947 Manx Norton M30 with the dolls head gearbox.

Iam currently rebuilding a 1956 Dominator 99 and I find I have a mixture of push rods in the engine. Should they be all steel or aluminium and what lenght should they be ?
