Yesterday was a hot and sunny day, so I decided to take out my recently aquired Norton for a trip. I have had some problems starting it warm, so I thought I'd try to sort it out. After some ten miles it died going downhill. No signs of life.

Having read glowing reports on their damper cartridges, I see the website is still available if 'googled', but alas emails are returned post haste..

Anyone know if they are still in business?

Hope someone can help with this one.

I want to identify two camshafts please. The casting numbers areT 2047 and T2219. I have two camshafts with the T 2219 part number, one which is stamped X2 referring to the depth of hardening I believe.

I purchased a small end bush from the NOCShop. It doesn't have the oil groove on the inside or the holes that the original did. The holes are an easy fix.

Whats the opinion on the lack of the oil groove?

When loaded up with luggage my 1951 ES2 is a nightmare to get on the stand.

I am trying to get hold of 2 jubilee pistons +40 size can any body help

I've messed on with motorcycles now for roughly 50 years and got by dealing with the above by using long spanners and big hammers, not good engineering eh.

If the 961 debate carries on let me know how I can cancel my membership I am fed up with all the sh~t being put out there. Remember you don't have to be a member to see your comments they are broadcast all over the world on google over the net.

I?m new in this club, and wish to have many friends "speaking" the same "Norton" language.

I live in Freire, Chile, and own a Model 18 1947, and a Model 50 1959.

Admittedly not often, but, several times when I have tried to make a post, I have been switched to Plone on pressing "start conversation" or "post comment". Since there is no "save draught" facility the text is lost and has to be typed again.

will the front mudguard for short forks fit to the long forked model and will the back stays for a plunger model fit the swinging arm one
