My '56 ES2 has floppy front footrests, the castellations look very worn - does anyone have suggestions on a remedy please ?
For years now we, who have Norton's future at heart, have been longing for someone to pick up the gauntlett, now we have its seems we are knocking it for all its worth. Obviouly I feel sorry for unhappy and out f pocket owners.

Our mechanic removed the timing case and found two numbers inside e6971 and e6972 I assume they are part numbers but would they help to date the bike

Hello, for my 16H project I?m looking for a muffler simular to the on in picture atteched. The bike is form 1929. Does anybody know whether these mufflers are available as reproduction or where I could get a pattern to reproduce them myself.
Before you say"get arigid",has anyoneexperience of improving theNortonplunger rearsuspension? I have an issue with therear being totally incompatible with the front suspension causing apogoeffect when braking orcornering.
As my bike is a 1959 Dominator 99 and was originaly on ignition coils, I believe it was altered to a Magneto at some point, along with the lighting switch which no longer needed the ignition switch part.

Does anybody know where I can get exhaust clamp rings for 1930-1934 singles. I have a 1930 model 18 and a 1934 model 20 head that I need new rings for, this is the female type thread.
The ones I have are in poor condition.
Can somebody tell me the correct length for a model 7, 1952, clutch pushrod. I have done a forum search, and came up with various lengths ranging from 7 1/4" to 9 3/4" long.

Have had a good look through the Forum and read a number of books on the subject. I have my engine in many bits at the moment (52 ES2) so is the ideal opportunity to do something about it if need be.
Has anyone had a good experience with the positive earth unit?, no luck with mine and can't immagine how it can power a coil with no dwell time.
