Hi all,I fear I have lost mine, I purchased a norton without docs or any real ideas to its origins and I am now hoping you guys will put me in the picture about it please. engine number is 18 SS 108480 / P , frame is 18 108631, reg number reputed to be JRE 6 B. ,.could and would someone tell me, the year of manufacture of both items please,as I am guessing it never left the factory with non matching numbers and can anyone tell me the area of the issue of the registration number and if any records are likely to be available to retain it, should it turn out to be allocated to the frame.

The registration number is Staffordshire - April 1964 on.
If I'm reading the Kithead Trust's notes correctly, there are no post-war Staffordshire records surviving (other than those held on computer by DVLA).
The NOC can of course tell you where the frame and engine were first despatched to but the factory records will not contain details of registration. A first owner in Staffordshire would be a good clue though.
