Hi All,
A friend recently purchased a '62 ES2 & it is missing its oil tank. His parts list has not arrived yet & I was wondering if anyone could tell me:
A) what is the part number for the correct oil tank
B) is it the same oil tank for any of the slimline featherbed bikes?
Thank you!

Thanks MIke, what years does that part number cover?
I have some original Norton Parts books & they list the oil tank for some of the twins:
the 61-62 650SS as part 23866 (wideline frame?)
the 63-65 88ss,650ss,650,99,Atlas shows part 24304 (slimline frame?)
the 66-68 650ss,Atls shows part 24304 (slimline frame?)
Thanks,

Skip,
The only major difference between 61-62 (which is a slimline) and the later model oil tanks is that the later ones have a collection tower to collect oil mist from the crankcase breather. I have a 61 ES-2 and 99SS which have the same earlier tank without the breather and they are interchangable with each other. My 1965 650SS has the oil tank with the collection tower.

The parts list shows the same tank for es2, model 50, 88, & 99:
22622
and different pt #s for deluxe models and SS.
All pretty much interchangeable functionally I think.
