I am stripping down my 1961 standard navigator and am attempting to remove the swing arm spindle.

I have removed the nuts from both ends okay.

As you will gather from my latest posts I have started work on my 1961 Navigator.

I have over the years fitted a good selection of stainless steel bits to my Commando and for the fitting of the rack to the rear loop I used some stainless screws from Screwfix 8mm nylocks washers etc.

Despite looking hard I am unable to determine what is the difference in width between the normal ball race and the roller bearing that is often used.in the back of the case.I'm not looking for advice ,just measurements,thanks.

French newbie in Norton's world, I was just wondering how, in the 70's, was tuned an 850. What was available at this time like knowledge and parts for example? For engine and also frame, brakes and all this. I saw once a double double cam brake?

Please see photos. Is this the correct Swinging arm I bought with the frame etc? .The rear G/ box / mudguard bracket I bought via skip is the correct part but this swinging arm appears to be pushing the rear frame further apart.

Is it possible with modifications to install an electric start to my 1953 ES2.

I am trying to sync my Mk1 amals on my 72 750 combat, with a syncpro carby sync, When I calibrate the unit, alls well but whenI hook up the two separate hoses to the manifolds and the gauge on one carby is way off the chart I have changed the hose

|Hello members I have just acquired a 61 ES2 .It is a nice bike but I am not sure what the spark plug gap should be . The books say 15 to 20 thou with a mag and bigger if you have a coil 20 to 22.

Luckily, my 1955 ES2 started 2nd kick after an extensive rebuild.

After several start up procedures on the driveway, it stopped after around 500 yards on it's first test ride.

having just put my dommi 99 on the road, 1st time since 1986, I find that there is no accelleration with lumpy running.

I have a folding KS on my 99 ,its from a later period and is probably a Genuine Norton. I'm trying to identify the bolt thread to obtain one long enough to reach all the threads.
