The grey face magnetic speedo on the Atlas needs a service,There are cheap pattern replacements on the market that are a fraction of the cost of the service, has anyone tried one?.

A friend recently purchased a '62 ES2 & it is missing its oil tank. His parts list has not arrived yet & I was wondering if anyone could tell me:
A) what is the part number for the correct oil tank

Sorry to resurect an old subject but valve (tappet) clearance on the iron head ES2 is given as 'pushrods free to rotate' on the compression stroke. How free is free? I have always set mine so that the pushrod can be 'spun' on the follower.

I think there is (or should be) a cork washer to reduce oil loss round the kickstart shaft. Mine loses all the oil above that level in a few days.

Not enough oil is getting up to the head.I intend to reduce the return outlet in the tank. Does anyone know the bore size of the Jubilee fitting that is the normal fix for this.?
