AMC gearbox
Anyone know if the layshaft bearing can be replaced without removing the gearbox from the frame. I suppose it can be done but does it make any sense to remove the box?
I want to replace with the later superblend.

Attached picture shows some rockers in my collection of spares. I have had a box of them sitting around for quite a while and know that they are not off any twin engine I have worked on.

My Boyer is about 35 years old and after a period of poor starting the spark appears weak. new 6v coils, copper leads, no resistor plug caps, N7Y etc.
When I added to a thread I wanted to quote a line of text from an earlier response and put the words in italics to emphasise the fact that it was a quote.
This is a job I can no longer avoid.
I have been quoted £70 by a local motorcycle dealership.
