I have a Mk3 850, with no starter motor (removed by previous owner.) I'd like to reinstate the electric start facility, doing all the advisable mods to the wiring, solenoid etc.

Items required are the mainshaft 1/4" rollers. Main (sleeve) bearingoil shield disc, footchange and kickstart springs etc.

I know that spitting backthroughthe carb is usually due to a weak mixture but does anyone know what the actual mechanism is ?
The spark does not happen when the inlet valve is open so it cannot be that route can it ?

hi there just a quick one. i take it that the return pipe out of enging goes to the inlet of the external filter . and the outlet of the filter goes to the return in the tank thanks in advance
Say a new Commando owner was to put grease in the grease nipple of the swinging arm - would that owner then need to strip and clean out the swinging arm prior to using oil rather than grease?

some time ago i bought a set of +40 oversize rings from RGM as spares since my bike is running this size.
I have noticed some new roadster fuel tanks with the fuel cap opening towards the back with the button to the front .
Did any roadster come out with the cap this way.
