Help required regarding the fork setup. I have recently bought oil seal holders, oil seals and bushes off the NOC shop. Though great no problem chucked all the old parts away when cleaning up my garage.
I am rebuliding a 1965 Atlas engine, it was down because one of the cam followers had failed (Stelite tip broken off)

Hi all - for your info - I've spoken to Les Emery at Norvil ref the proposed electric starter conversion for belt drive primaries. I was concerned ref which belt drives it will work with.
Having recently completeda strip down and cleanof my 1949 16H engine, I am now considering the use of a modern 20w50 mineral, detergent, dispersant type engine oil.

I have put a deposit down on a new manx colour 961 cafe racer and cant wait to get her, i have been told it will be made next april but not sure what year! that was a joke by the way.
How feasible or practical is it to reduce the seat height of the Commando? I ask because I'm not very tall, my current every day machine is a Hinckley Bonneville which at 30.5 inches is just about right for me.

On a '68 fastback the engine number I have starts with 20M3/ then the engine number. What does the20M3/ bit refer to. My '73 Roadster is much more battered and worn and canbarelysee any prefix to the nearly legible engine number.
I'm in the process of overhauling the cylinder head on my 1950 ES2 (cast iron head). I've noticed that the valve springs appear a little soft, i.e. lacking stiffness. Thought I had better check them out before re-assembly of the head.
Hi - years ago I had a commando that would idle very slowly sounding beautiful. I now have an identical machine (MkII 1974) but I cannot get it to idle evenly. On one cylinder - no problem - nice slow idle.

Hi, with a full strip down on my 1958 99SS well under way I encountered a problem when trying to remove the sprocket so that I could then take off the very worn chains, well I tried everything, thank goodness I had the service manual handy, I foll

Do any of you knowlegeable laddies know how the tachometer gearboxeswere originallyfixed to the timing covers on either a 650SS or Atlas.
