ES2 Head Steady?

Hi All,

I have a Slimline ES2, does anyone know if these should have a head steady fitted as it does vibrate a lot at about 50mph.

I am more used to commando's so it might be me.

I am just recovering from a bad bout of sciatica,probably not helped by my poor technique of getting my Jubilee onto its centre stand.

Can anyone offer me any tips or advice on using the centre stand easily?

Has any one got the sizes of thebolts for the following as trying to restore my pride and joy?? would like to get them in stainless?

i have phoned evry one in the old bike mart (stainless and all i get is they need the sizes?)

I have a 650ss built in late 61 with the slimline frame the oil tank does not havethebreatherturret fitted, Isuspect that thismay not beoriginal but I am not sure, I wonder if any of you knowledgeable peopleout thereknow if thisis could be correct

Hi all

Jut got my nice new shiny wheels back for my ES2. Spoke to Vinage tyres about sizes and they belivev that it should have 32.5s front and rear. I prefer Sms to K70s and Sms only come in 3.50 and 4.00 rear sizes.

MYSTERY MUDGUARD

I recently inherited a very well looked after 1960 (manufactured 1959) ES2. The black rear mudguard is 6" wide and valanced with an attachment at the rear which can be removed to facilitate withdrawal of the wheel from the swinging arm.
