Hi to all you other happy 961 owners.

Dear All,
I don't remember whether I've already asked this question (sorry if so):
My 99 is now running very well whith her new Pazon ignition.
Thankyou so far to members who have kindly replied to my previous messages.
Hello What if anything are the NOC doing for the Queen's birthday in 2012 ?
The 7 inch front brake fitted on many Norton models up to around 1954 has always been found to be lacking power. I have started on the renovation of my one and discovered some possible reasons why it is so!
Here's a thread on the AccessNorton site well worth a look if you're not aware of this forthcoming mod: http://www.accessnorton.com/commando-starter-upgrade-t10150.html
Need some verification re the position of the throttle/slide valve position when viewed through manifold.
Thanks to feedback from my query regarding the Norvil/Comeau starter motor, I'm going to fit one to my Mk3 (no starter at the moment.)
Hi all,
I'm having diffeculty removing the front isolastic to give it a clean up and check the adjustment - this the first time I've tried to do this!
It look like this wonderful software is up to it's tricks again.
What Kev was probably trying to say was that he will be heading to Applecross for the Tay Valley branch bash.
He will be leaving from Norfolk.
...when you adjust a primary chain or toothed belt, at what point in the rotation of the engine do you make the adjustment? The chain/belt tightens and slackens depending on where the crank is sitting.
Nortonians, I can't get rid of an oil leak from the chain case following my recent re-build. The output shaft from the gearbox looks central in the primary case oil seal which has been renewed.

Can any one recommend a repairer for an alloy tank as I have had a minor mishap and dropped my Norton whilst loading onto a trailer resulting in a dent in the tank. Thanks, John
It has always struck me that it's a shame to throw away a perfectly good Commando brake drum when the sprocket is worn out. Being cast iron it would be difficult to weld a new sprocket to the drum after machining the worn teeth off.
Hi have a domi 99 1961 it is fitted with a wassel 12 volt alternator and has bridge rectifier fitted but no zener diode or any other method of voltage control is this correct?
Hello, all. I've just joined up, sadly as merely an interested party and not as a Norton owner right now.My name is Tom Parker and I'm writing you from Portland, Oregon in the United States.
Some of you might find this tip useful, especially if your eyesight is not as good as it used to be.
Hi there all. Could someone let me know please where I can get the "kickstart axle cork washer"....Part number A2/355.
I am about to remove the forks on my bike so I can do away with the gaiters that are on there at present..it is my intention to fit the chrome plated exterior coil springs underneath the bottom yoke....my question is..can I leave the existing inte
I have a 76 Commando 850, all I have done is take off the battery and fit a new one, upon switching on the ignition - absolutely nothing, on turning the switch to the lights on position then the red and green warning lights come on but nothing els
Hi all,
This unusual P11 powered Norton sidecar racer was probably constructed and raced in the UK in the late `60's or early `70's?
I have a Mk3 850, with no starter motor (removed by previous owner.) I'd like to reinstate the electric start facility, doing all the advisable mods to the wiring, solenoid etc.
Help, After buying an 850 in 5 boxes and becoming NOC shop, RGM and Andover norton's best mate i'm at the wiring stage, the old alternator came without wires so that's been replaced with a 3 phase lucas alternator, a podronic 3 phase unit an
Is there any kind Norton owner out there who is professionally involved in painting classic vehicles or bikes or maybe modern accident repairs?
