Monobloc carb tops

Forums

I am putting together a pair of monoblocs for my Atlas. I have 2 kinds of carb top. One has a threaded hole for the cable adjuster and one has a smooth through hole for the top hat style cable end. Which is the right style of carb top?

All my Atlas and 650Ss carb tops for monoblocs or concentrics were threaded for the cable adjuster for both the throttle and air cables. Cheers, Howard

That's enough evidence for me. I will go ahead and use the threaded ones. Luckily I am swimming in old carburetters these days.

Well, I have all Winter to get all my best used pieces together. I may even make some brass slides. In Spring I should have a magneto (being rebuilt right now) so I will know then if I have to switch to my Commando concentrics (which I don't like the look of).
