I'm going to attempt to make some metal fuel pipes for my 1935 Es2.What I need to know is what bore size should I use? It maybe a stupid question but if the bore is to small ,would and could it effect fuel supply.Thanks.Nick.
My recently purchased 1952 ES2 has a saddle which had been modified in a number of creative ways, but the basic frame looks fine. However, I'm not sure whether it is the correct one from the bike.
i cant seem to get any decent conrods for my 600 dommie so i was thinking of making some from wood .do you think MDF would do it or should i try a bit of solid oak.
5 Commandos (961 tucked away at the back) I O M Classic TT last week.

Hi everyone,
Just wondering what plugs are you all using in your 650ss
(got her mot'd taxed and riding)
And just about to mess with the mag for the first time had been rebuilt by the previous owner, its fitted with a k2f,
I wanted to thank Marc and the wholeNoC Flanders team for such a great job.
It was really an enjoyable rally with excellent food and organisation.
I was looking for a metal storage drawer system to include in the re-vamp of my workshop/shed.
Hi folksI'm intending to add a hidden kill switch to the ignition circuit on my Dommi and think I have found the ideal switch for the job.
Does anyone have any experience of purchasing from Classis British Motorcycles, as I have placed an order with them and paid for it but cannot get to talk to them by phone and have emailed them twice with no response. Have I been duped ??
just scraping through layers of paint on my petrol tank noticed among the rust the tank is chrome underneath.
I have owned my 1972 commando for 3 years and it is my first British bike.
All my previous bikes I have serviced myself so can sort out obvious things but not necessarily problem solving.
I have 3 questions
I bid 1,000 USD on this and was quickly outbid. Anyone here have an idea what it's worth?
Can anybody recommend a suitable air filter set up to fit a 650 ss with twin concentrics ?I have tried fitting the screw-in cone shaped filters but these are not suitableas the carbs are too close to each other to allow both to be fitted.
Midnight, pouring with rain, ominous rumble slow down, loud clank from below, find rear of bike covered in oil, end of journey. Have now stripped motor to find LH conrod bent and big end shot, and no oil in tank! no further damage apparent.
An interesting photo in this months Roadholder would indicate that the the JPN Race Transporter is alive but maybe not well.
Jubilee gearbox cover kickstart side wanted.
I have the later gearbox and I am missing this cover would be grate if someone had one spare.
I have a spare bottom end engine spare if anyone needs one Cheers

chainguard bolt fell off, seems to be a bad design, just a bolt and loose nut? is this std? the old 99 has captive nuts fixed to the back of the guard ,much easier to keep tight.
One of my inlet spindles is loose in the head and is set further in so does not engage well with the plate. What is the normal fix for wear in the head bore?.
What i thought would be a straightforward job has me asking questions.
Should my 1952 ES2 have a T-shaped or conventional battery? I can find lots of photos of the timing side but have not seen one of the drive side for the plunger rear end / laydown gearbox.
Got oil weeping down the crankcase from between the head and barrel, in the vicinity of where the foreward-most, outer-most cylinder head stud is located.
Jubilee coil order.
Which coil fires which cylinder or does it not matter.
Thanks
John
on the rocker inspection cover on my ES2 a cork washer is used to seal after adjustment. Due to continued dribbles I've started to double up on them. However they soon crush and deteriorate.
I have spent ages wading through the spares website to place an order then find that paypal is my only payment option.
When I go to complete the order I am directed to a paypal page which gives no opportunity to make payment
