I mounted an Avon AM2 roadrider the other day and about a week it has developed a very large crack down the center of the tread, rendering it unusable. Has anyone else experienced this?

The dating certificate says the Gear box no is 478

There is a Navigator on Ebay. Looks like it started its life as a Deluxe model. Is it worth much with with out its tin ware.

Since I bought some comfy new boots which are considerably bigger than the old I have had a problem with the gearchange on the 60 99. A relaxed riding position allows light pressure on the lever to block the action of the selector return .
I am in the process of rebuilding my 1949 ES2. The crankshaft is rebuilt and trued, I have .020 end play. I understand i should be in the .006-.008 range. Where can i find shims to do this work ? I also have lots of slop in the valve lifters.

Hello. New member here in the States. I own a 1949 Norton ES2 that turns out my second Cousin once removed (never met him) had brought over back in the late 1970's. It had lived its former life around Plymouth according to the log book.
Has anyone out there had to test the customer care from the factory?

Looking to have the barrels re-bored +20 this week, fitting NOS pistons and rings from RGM. What's the recommended piston to bore clearnace for 850's. On R3s and Tridents I have had done the gap was 3 thou.

I'm working on the three speed SA box that came in bits with my 1928 CS1 I bought a couple of months back and I've realised it has a later Norton KS shaft with it.
Could some kind person tell me which is the drain plug and level plug on my laydown gearbox [photo is of my spare] also what oil,

I have recently purchased two Norton wheels from Belgium which I intend getting rebuilt with new rims/spokes etc. however I am not sure about the originality of the front hub.
I recently acquired an 88 engine which I identified as a 1954 with the number J122. However there is another number stamped on the rear of the crankcase mouth 'T13770'. Can anyone help with telling me what his number signifies.

Hi, can anyone please advise the correct part number for the camshaft bushes for a 1934 ES2? Also if possible how much wear is tolerable on these bushes please?

I have a 1949 Mod. 18 with the upright Gearbox. I can't reach the big nut from the top fixing bolt with a 9/16 W spanner.
I take of the oil tank to turn the nut. Is there a better way to turn the nut?
