Looks pretty original to me but then I'm not a twin expert!

I have a 1972 Commando that has been modified a bit in the headlamp.

I have looked at the NOC Shop and they have 2 and 3 position switches, can anybody advise me which one is correct.

Are the engine mounting brackets on the solid and swinging arm (pre-featherbed) frame interchangeable? They are shown in the parts book as quite different numbers but appear to do the same job with the same engine block. George

Hi , do we use these heatproof washers that go under the valve cups on a dominater ?

I have been rebuilding my brake calipers with new pistons and seals, but whatever I try I cannot get the piston in without damaging the seal. Have tried soaking them in brake fluid, rubber grease, stretching etc.

I am a new member and wanted to ask if anyone has replaced the exhaust rose with stainless steel versions?

I ordered a new side stand for my '55 ES2 from Norvil. I rang them to confirm that it would fit as it was advertised as "stand - side - ES2, 7, 77, pre-featherbed". Mine is a pre-featherbed.

Had my bike ready for renovation for 18 years with no time to even start it but now i have time. Going over whats missing in my boxes and no clutch parts, the last owner did say he was looking at belt drive so he must have removed it.

Would anyone have pictures or knowledge of a 350cc Manx Norton being raced in the 60/70/80's that had a fairing fitted in early 60's and most noticeably had a Lockheed front disc brake fitted during the 70 - 80's.

Seen a seat cover on eBay (classics) Norton7 dominator black/red piping WideLine 500cc 1952 seat cover £32.95.

Are the covers any good as my base and foam are in good order but seat cover a bit tired.

I don't know what its called but it is the lower part of the instruments on 1955 88 dominator never seen one for sale, has anybody got a photo so i could maybe make a copy, or know anyone who can supply the part.

Hello has anyone fitted any of these con rods. it says they have to be balanced would that be the case or could i just fit some without the balancing.

Just putting a clutch together from a tub of clutch bits. Works out I have enough bits (Inc new rubbers) to make up a pre 57 clutch. I can't remember how many drive plates I put in my other model 50, 18 years ago.

I have just acquired a 1961 ES2 and am having difficulty finding technical literature. I found and printed a PDF labeled "maintenance manual". It's a start, but I was hoping for something more in-depth.

What do other ES2 people use?

I am slowly making progress with the Navigator. MY rolling chassis is about there--non standard as before BSA front end. I do intend to fit a side stand.

I have lots of good parts that need platting mostly spindle brackets etc small stuff but costly or impossible to replace. Just wondering the cost of this work average prices.

Am I allowed to name names? If not, I apologise and leave it to the judgement of our excellent elves.

I have 2 v good hepolite pistons with ring i am not sure about no marking etc. what rings can i fit to the pistons +20 thou stamped on the head.

Anyone any idea if iron head are the same as alloy head pistons?

I have alloy head 54, trying to find some, andover have iron head listed.

Only difference I can see is 0.1 comp ratio

Is it possible to change the rear iso. washers without dismantling 1/2 the bike?

I striped the my 500 88 back in 2002 and its lived in cardboard boxes ever since, it has plus 20 thou over pistons hepolites in great shape but can't work out the rings packed with the pistons.

Just come onboard the owners club but been looking for some time.
