Primary sprocket
Could anyone tell me what size the threads are for the primary sprocket puller. I think they are 5/16 BSF , But they only go in about 3 turns, then get really tight.

I have an ES2 fitted with a 389 monoblock, but no air filter.
I have an early Norton OHC International with a 4 speed laydown gearbox Pand I am trying to find some information on the gearbox. I was told the Norton gearbox should have a number beginning with an N.

My 99 was rebored and fitted with 650 SS short skirt pistons, 41/2 thou clearance. It is now nicely bedded in and has really good compression and goes very well. It is a little noisy with cold slap just like many other 99's I have heard.
Just one picture of us this year. There were four Nortons entered: two solos and two outfits. Good weather again and around 80miles of mainly green lanes plus 11 observed sections. This is our top event of the year.

What are people generally using now on Commandos ? I've read various things about the quality of the current Renold items but are they usable or are there easily available better options ?
O.K I have the 'tins' back from paint, I have just dry mounted the tailpiece, the seat doesn't fit it well so will have to sort it out, the tank I have not tried yet but I do not know quite what I need to mount it on the frame, cotton reel support

That the NOC has had to spend funds defending the use of the word 'Commando' in an advertisement is regretable.
hi there new to the forum and new to this site . ok i bought a commando frame and casings matching from the states . it has title papers import paid etc .
In an effort to make life easier I'm planning to fit a valve in the feed line to stop drain down when the Commando is out of use for a few weeks. I know many have done this so I'm looking for a valve that is suitable i.e..
I finally found a fresh set of new plunger caps, supplied by the good folks at BMH Trading.
Nice to have a set that have not been repeatedly bashed with a hammer for the past 66 years.
trying to get the commando complete, won't be running though, for display at Ardingly, I retrieved the brand new peashooters one still boxed up nicely one opened at the end, purchased around 16 yrs ago from the loft of the workshop, the boxed on

Please, Can anyone point me in the direction of an ES2 conrod? 7" between centres, likely casting mark E4099. The one in my engine has been "polished" beyond reason.
