Does anyone have any experience please of:
1. Alloy tanks and seats - the RGM ones look good, but I don't know anyone who has fitted one.
2. Whether ethanol affects alloy petrol tanks
Does anyone know the bearing dimensions (and part references) for the oilite bushings in the Prestolite starter motor.
I know the drive end dims, but I'd like to find out about the cap (brush) end bearing.

Recently I bought RGM's large bore exhaust pipes and silencers, which should utilise standard brackets. The ones I recieved are not even close to the brakets (see attached picture).

I have a 1954 Norton ES2. The rear end piece of the mudguard is missing.
I would really apprecieate help to find that piece.
The mudguard is hinged.

HELP.....I'm on a mission overhauling my much loved and ridden big 4 1952. Amongst other worn out parts I've discovered that the hardening has worn through on an inletvalve lifter and the guides are worn.

Has anyone else found themselves in the same situation as me? I went to lookat a Manx last week with a view to buying it and I was interested to find out where it was first sold when new.
I am setting up the ignition and struggling to get an even tickover, examination of the rear of the points carrier plate shows that the auto advance weights are hitting the back (of the points plate).
Have only just become a member in the last 2 weeks so go easy on me...have just purchased a 1961 ss dominator 500cc.....I am encountering a slight hiccup upon acceleration...tickover is fine....high revs are fine with the odd blip now and again...
Sorry about starting a new thread but when I tried to update the previous one I keep getting error messages for some reason. I have discovered that the problem seems to be electrical and it is getting worse.
