Back in the day, as they say, there was talk of the famous "Twitter" on the overrun, Never happened for me Pw3 cam , Andover silencers or not.    Then one day at Cirencester autojumble I acquired a pair of silencers, for a Tenner! Unheard of!  One was junk but the seller insisted I take it away.  The remaining silencer was in good nick and eventually got round to fitting it.  Very rude it turned out to be. The greater the revs the greater the fruity raspberry and only on the one side. Love it!      Internally it has baffles, the peashooter  ends are somewhat turned over, not the sharp  edge style. No other cues    Any ideas? A screw loose perhaps?      Baffled of Swindon.

My 850 MK2 '74 Roadster was supplied new with the peashooters that had the turned over ends  you mentioned.

Also a lovely exhaust note, but only lasted about a couple of years before they rusted through from the inside.

They had fluted baffle tubes with sound deadening material packed between them and the outer that seemed to absorbed dampness when parked up after short blasts.
Signs of the peashooter chrome swelling and splitting meant they were on the way out.

I think new ones where about fifteen quid each back then.

I believe AN supply something similar for those that crave for the famous "Twitter".

Met a bloke Classic Motor Hub on Sunday, it was Italian day, he had some 'Goldstar' replica pipes made up for a V7 Moto Guzzi - it made the goldie 'chirp'!

Don't get all exited, it may no longer be the case. The PW3 profile was corrected by PW just before he passed away. Apparently there was a problem with it and he was surprised no one noticed it. We have the corrected grind data but not the original, I suspect that only a few have the original grind data for the PW3.
