Hoping someone can help me. I am restoring a 1952 ES2 I have had both front and rear wheels rebuilt, new rims and spokes. The front is fine but I think the rearis not.
I saw this posted on the Mopedarmy website.
True?
Getting down to the detail work and I seem to have a problem routing the speedo cable to the rear wheel. The cable is the correct length (5'1").
Hello,
There is another model to replace this original starter solÃ?noÃ?de (065508) ValÃ?o ?
Thank you very much.
I possess a 1960 ES2 once owned by Alan Shepherd of MZ fame which surprisingly is equipped with alloy rims. The back tyre, Avon SM Mk2 3-5x19 is now due for replacement but I've never taken off nor put on a new tyre on an alloy rim.
Bob Jones is interested in what happened to his 1968 Atlas. He sold it through Sid's Place, North of Manchester, to an NOC Member who lived on a farm near Penistone.
I have a question regarding the orientation of the crankshaft flywheel.

As there are frequent messages on this site regarding breatherproblems and modifications I would like to suggestanother one.
Can anyone help me!
...I'm planning to fit Boyer electronic ignition and I want to know if the valve clearances remain standard, ie: inlet at .006 and exhaust at .008.
Hi, im sorry this must be covered somewhere but i have only just joined the NOC, i have read much on fitting a PCV valve to the breather system, but the simple question is where can i get a suitable valve in the UK ?
It seems nowadays, everyone specifies C3 bearings for motorcycle engines,I really am baffled by this.
Hi all. Could someone please provide me with a link for a supplier of the RHP M306 (RHP 6306) timing side bearing that has ten balls rather than the standard seven.
I have spent hours surfing the net for a supplier and cannot find one.
During a recent branch meeting it was mentioned that it might be worth putting up details of recently used parts suppliers that have provided good service. There used to be a guide, but that was many years ago.
Could someone please advise me on running in my rebuilt Electra. The barrels have been rebored with new pistons and rings. The head has had the seats recut with new valves, guides and springs.
Yet another hurdle in bringing my 1961 '99' up to spec!
I am restoring a 1960 99 and do not have the ball bearing for the clutch pushrod. What is the size and where is it located? I assume at the gearbox lever end but if it is fairly large presumably I must remove the housing to install it.
I have just bought a 1971 commando with a gearbox problem. the bike jumps out of first gear almost instantly you go to pull away. It also feels like1st doesn't engage like therest of thegears do.

Re my previous request regarding the oil jet. I was able to get one from Russells.
What does this do and how does it work.
It seats in the outer case and sits against the worm wheel at the oil pump.
I am trying to split a pair of Electra crankcases that are prooving stubbon to say the least. I definatly have all the attaching fasteners out including the two inside the top where the barrel fits.
The Dominator twin engine, including the Commando, is a very easy unit to strip down usually only requiring a standard 3 leg puller for the camshaft sprocket but a Special Puller for the crankshaft, that is quite expensive at around £36.
I remember reading, but can't remember where, that you can fit a 750 commando head on an 850 commando engine after a simple mod. This is supposed to cure the leaks caused by porosity, apparently common on the 850 head. Can anyone comment?
