I have a 1975 mkIII commando with a custom frame and sidecar. She only has a kick start and is fitted with a Mikuni VM36 carb instead of Amal.
Please can anyone advise when the 850 Commandos ceased to be produced with matching engine and frame numbers?
Please be warned that after November 18th 2012 you may not be able to transfer a registration number onto or off your pre 1960 car or motorcycle as it will not longer fall into the criteria of having to have a current MOT, whilst many may consider

just got the parts to drive my speedo girder forks left hand brake plate 1947 es2 its been in boxsfor over 30 years but is now up and running now i find it turns the wrong way any suggestions steve
I'm looking for parts to restore my 1951 Norton 500T. I need: gear lever, brake lever, side stand, top stanchion shrouds, and rear fender bracket.
Basically my 57' 99 dommie died on me the other weekend - it seems the woodruff key on my camshaft has sheared, meaning the gear will spin on the cam.

I have just stripped my 1936 inter engine and found a small crack in the cambox. It goes through the narrow bit at the bottom of the bevel cover and the top bevel housing.
I hope to do a rally in mid-Wales in September and will be spending 2 nights near Chepstow at a hotel on 23rd and 24th but they can't help with my bike and trailer - is anyone able to put them up for 2 nights?
I have a spare standard electric motor and I was wondering wether anyone has ever tried to take the two field coils from one and put them with the other and solderer all fourcoils. Thus giving out more power.
I am having probems with weak or missing sparks on my late featherbed 30M. It is fitted with a P.A.L speedway-type magneto with external HT coil. I have renewed the coil unit but the problem persists.

I require the following spares for my 1935 ES2:
A fuel tank
A headlamp 8in
Exhaust pipe, silencer and nut (header to cylinder head)
Chain guard
Back number plate holder
It's not a major problem, but why wont my bike- 1950 ES2, 276 carb nearly new- tick over when the bike is on the side stand?

I have a 1957 99 and 3 pressure plates, all with different depths can somebody tell me which is the correct part number and eventually the depth. This can also obviouslychange the way the springs are tightened, flush or not!!

Hi - can anyone shed any light on my breaking downpipes? Off and on we've owned commandos for many years - MkII 850cc.
Ok this has me stumped but I admit I am no genius when it comes to electrickery. With my battery mounted in my 1938 ES2 and no dynamo in the system If I put my mulitmeter on the battery I get a reading of around 6.55V which is as expected.
