hi william thanks for your comments i know the forks are from an earlyer bike but i like them i am thinking 1938 with the rubber isolated handlebars iwas hoping to find a gearbox to turn the other way but reformating the head could be an easy option

Hi Steve. firstly I would question that a 1947 es2 should have girder forks or a left hand front brake?? If the speedo drive is turning the wrong way the easiest fix would be to get a speedo head that turned the opposite way as they come in both clockwise and anti clockwise forms and can be rebuilt in either format.
