Commando kickstart on dolls head gearbox
I have a pre-war inter with the rear set footrests on it. The footrest currently gets in the way of the kickstart that came on the bike.

Does anyone have a 1946 Model 18 clutch case or know where I could get one?
My recently rebuilt Commando smokes heavily on the right cylinder upon start up. This clears after a short while. The bores were on plus 20 and not worn. I glazebusted the bores and fitted new rings.
Hi,
My friend bought a 1959 Dominator 600 in England 2 months ago, this bike has been completely restored by the seller, now after 120 miles running, there was a great noise in the engine and a lack of power.
Hi guys,
I have just purchased a 1977 Mk3 electric start commando, unrestored and reasonably original.
The rear disc was rubbing against the side of the caliper, exhaust side.
Attached pic shows the source of an oil leak below my ES2 crankcase next to the primary cover/alternator.
I noticed in my '57 norton parts book, that the model 19s rear fender has a different part number than the '57 model 77 , why is that? The both use the single downtube frame.

I am a way from needing this part, but I am going to need an indicator switch for my Elactra. Searches for part number do not seem to reveal anything, and I have no idea what the switch even looks like.

Hi Everybody,
I've recently bought a 1934 16H combination with Swallow sports sidecar which I'm really loving. (I fell for my best friends 1938 ES2 when I was 18 years old, and now 40 years on finally have my first Norton too).
This may be a daft question......
There are lots of different "whites" in cellulose, but is there a specific "black" for Norton Commandos? Also, are they painted in cellulose , 2-pack, enamel etc?

Genuine Reason for Sale - My wife and I have decided to do some touring together and I can't afford to buy another bike as the Norton is all I own.
When I obtained my mkIII commando last year, I planned on upgrading the brakes to something a bit more modern. The brakes that are currently fitted have some nice steel braided hoses, and the brakes themselves are Lockheed disc brakes.
Hi all - any ideas - my Mk2A (upped to 920cc) is now run-in and runs a treat. I have today noticed that it is unhappy revving to over 4200 rpm - the engine just coughs - as soon as I back-off on the throttle she's fine.
