I'm having trouble getting my 1938 ES2 to idle due to to lean a mixture. Before I go any further I will tell you that it has a 76/012 carb fitted which was originally put on the 350's. Es2 500's had a 76/022 originally.

Hello all - my Mk2A 920 is now run-in and running well. It's fitted with 2 x new Amal Concentric 32mm Mk1's - no air filter but 2 x Bellmouths with gauze filters. I have one issue - to enable the engine to 'pick-up' cleanly from idle (i.e.
Don't think it's carbs, just fitted a pair of new Amals. Starts and ticks over sweet as a nut. On a run it starts to feel lumpy after 5 miles or so. Slow down through a village or a series of turns then the problems really start.
I need to do a minor touch up to an otherwise immaculate frame & re-paint the whole of a prop stand, both in black

I wonder if anyone out there can help me identify a problem which only cropped up last Sunday, 400 miles into running in my newly refurbished ES2 motor.
My Dommie has done about 30,000 miles since it was rebuilt. The chrome wheel rims are shabby (a tom cat peed on them in the shed at least once...) and stainless would (I think) look a lot better and last better also.
On a 1948 ES2 could any give me the correct size for Plunger Springs (top and bottom) and if they have any idear of where they can be obtained many thanks
Just aquired a 1968 Norton Dominator which requires restoration. My initial plan is to get the running gear (engine, gearbox etc) sorted by proffessional restorer.
Hi All, another question I'm afraid. Can any one tell me what the rim size is for a 1960 es2. I need to order new stainless rims, the old ones are pretty tatty.

Hi all. Back in the early 90's I had an oil seal conversion done on my rev counter drive housing. This conversion was done by Fred Barlow of FBS motorcycles. The seal has worked magnificently until now.

I am looking into a friends JPN Commando & trying to get as much info as possible.
I've stripped the clutch on my inter and although I was planning on geting the end plated it looks quite corroded in places so wont come up very well. The sprocket and clutch basket are also quite worn and very rusty.

Getting started with my first Norton restoration, a 1935 ES2. I have been unable to find out whether my bike (engine number 62349G)had a 19 or 21" front wheel. Any help would be appreciated.

Last summer I sold the above bike at Beaulieu auction, but dear Bonhams either would not or could not pass my details to the new owner.
Joined the Vintage club. Hope you get it fixed before everyone leaves.
I am restoring a MK3 and have come across a problem with the gearbox.
I have setup the quadrant and camplate and have checked I have all gears inner cover off and on.
