My first love is finding my second love a little uncomfortable these days and a suggestion is to try a king and queen seat. I do not really want to go to the expense of building / buying one if it makes little difference.
Just a quick warning. I recently advertised a modern Triumph on ebay without masking my number plate.
I have a problem with my speedo illumination, I have an LED replacement bulb that seems to have a mind of its own (sourced from Mr Goff, so it's a pukka replacement).
Does anyone know what thread the Bars are tapped to recieve the dip switch. My eyes are not good enough to check the thread form. Probably a BA thread?.

i have a 1951 norton dominator,with the chain tensioner there are two shield shaped plates with two holes, they are both different thickness"sdoes the thick one go on first under neath the adjuster plate or the thin one many thanks terry

Hi, gave me bike a run around found the gears a bit difficult to engage when warm as i have heard described before gives a false neutral it seems to hang inbetween gears then move the gear lever it selects a gear .
OK I have bitten the bullet and put in my order for a 961 Sport.

Hi all just aquired a 72 Combat engine 750 project.Whilst renewing the rear sprocket,i decided to replace the gearbox sprocket aswell.When all disassembled i found tiny up and down movement on the cranshaft. Oh dear!
Has anyone experience in using heavier oils in the gearbox/primary to help reduce the clatter and clutch screeching?

Can any one identify the upper set of fork innards? The lower ones came from wideline roadholders. The upper are exactly 3 inches longer.
I uncovered my Mk3 interstate on Sunday to check her over for an MOT later this week.
I just bought a 72 750 off ebay. The previous owner had passed away and his mates were selling his collection on behalf of his widow. The 750 is in very tidy condition and comes with a huge wodge of receipts and old MOTs.
52 ES2. Am going to regret asking this question because I think I know the answer but, should the front wheel be central in the front forks ie edge off rim to fork leg? Mine isn't, 9mm variation. John
