Fitting original dip switch to 1960 Model 99

Forums

Does anyone know what thread the Bars are tapped to recieve the dip switch. My eyes are not good enough to check the thread form. Probably a BA thread?.

I agree with the 4BA suggestion.

My 1960s catalogue suggests part number 18734.

The later 1967 catalogue says pn 021299 & states switch screws 4BA also used to hold fork shroud in place. Norvil sell these but I would suggest a good model shop would be cheaper if you need nuts & washers.

I think you are probably right, although impatient Anne (me) has tapped them with whatever was in the tool box (1/8th Whit) .Not that it matters, I've just come back from a trial run with the new straight bars and the worked on brake.Awfull, Steering much heavier, wrist pump from the flat lever position and a soggy brake. I will have to find some standard low rise bars and start again. At least it goes well now.
