Anyone got a king / queen seat I can borrow / buy ?

Forums

Hi,

My first love is finding my second love a little uncomfortable these days and a suggestion is to try a king and queen seat. I do not really want to go to the expense of building / buying one if it makes little difference.

Has anyone in the UK got one they could lend me to try, maybe with a view to selling it to me ?

850 MkIIIInterstate.

And yes I do know they are not pretty but at the moment we are limited to about 1 hour which can be a little frustrating.

Thanks

Tony

Vale Onslow have a Mk3 Roadster King and Queen seat on Ebay at the moment. Would that fit?

I doubt if a change of seat will make much difference. It's more to do with the footrest position and support of the legs.

Even in your 'comfy' chair at home your arse will be getting fidgety after an hour.

Hi Tony

Have you considered an AIRHAWK cushion for your bike instead of a king queen seat? I had the same numb bum effect on my bike after an hour or so and tried a cushion which belonged to a friend. It's a complete transformation, it fits onto the seat with 2 adjustable straps and can be quickly removed, the thing you've got to remember is not to blow it up too much or you loose the feel of the bike, I can highly recommend it.

Hi Tony

i have one I don't need. Where are you based?

Hi Mark,

I am in Berkshire, where are you ?

Thanks to everyone else who reponded. I had an enjoyable drive up to darkest Warwickshire to pick up a seat from Alan but unfortunately it is for a roadster so it will not fit.

Hans can lend me one (which I may take him up on the offer if others fall through).

Regards

Tony

Tony,

How did the seat work, was it more comfortable for the pillion?  My wife is finding uncomfortable after and hour riding, so would be interested in your experience with the king  and queen seat.

Thanks, Philip
