1957 Inter oil tank
I am restoring a '57 Inter and have stripped the oil tank. The tank has two mounting nuts in the bottom of the tank and the clutch cable runs through the tank in a tube.

Hi all
Can anybody tell me if they have fitted K70's back and front on a 16H?
I've been advised not to by my local tyre guy. He says put a ribbed on the front and not a K70.
Cheers

Is it that I've missed summat or was there supposed to be a Norton, albeit with an Italian engine, at the TT this Year (again)?
I've just finished lapping my head and barrel together to avoid the need for a head gasket. I took the valves out so I could make sure the oil ways were clear and clean ( God bless pipe cleaners!

Hello, Fellow Noccers.

I have just fitted a complete Barnett clutch to my MkIII ES, I don't know why I didn't do it years ago.
It is remarkably light in operation and works very well so far.
Just fitted one of these batteries to my old 1975 Mk.III ES.
Along with rebuilt starter motor, and new starter motor cables, it is astonishing how well this now works.

I had a problem with sprag clutches failing, which was odd because I had fitted a new engine sprocket.
I contacted Andover Norton, who were excellent as usual, and then arranged to take the failed parts in.
I have just fitted the above cables, new coils, Pazon ignition, new battery etc, etc.
The bike starts great and runs well up to about 4 thousand revs, when it gets weirdly fluffy, and misfires.

Hi, looking at changing out gearbox engine oil.. Then engine and forks.... I've read so much about oils... With so much conflicting info.
I have been all through my manuals and scoured the archives but can't find any information on rear chain adjustment. It's a swing arm model - is it 1" slack , is it measured with the bike on the stand, off the stand or with someone sitting on it?
Have recently purchased a 1929 M18 ex racer tuned by Stan Johnson, howeve the rear wheel is a Alloy unit and 19 which is buckled (along with most of the bike due to a big crash).
Can someone tell me which transfer was originally on the rear mudguard of early 1950'sES2 Nortons.
I'm looking for an oil bath seal for my Norton 1957 model 50/350, I tried a 20mm width but this seemed too wide - is there a thinner one maybe 16mm that will fit more snugly? If so where could I buy one from? Please advise, many thanks.
