I have just changed the oil in my 650SS.
What is the correct oil level in the tank. I run it half full, but don't have a level transfer on the tank.
Is this correct ?

Hello Now there are 3 bars on the side of the oil tank you need somewhere in the middle of the top and middle bars and Do fit a catch tank from the breather too Lubricate the rear chain if you can find a small container that will find in-between the oil tank and battery box fit the breath pipe too the top of your small tank and a over follow pipe out half way up the catch tank too the rear chain guard you find this works well and you do not get oil on the rear Tyreanymore yours anna j

If you are running short trips in cool weather then 1/2 tank is fine as long as you eep an eye on the level, otherwise as Anna says is right.
Lower level keeps the oil warmer in cool conditions.
