Congratulations to the owner of the UK to Asia '72 Commando 750. Bike looks great...there's gotta be a story there. heres me thinking the '72 Commandos were the unreliable ones.

OK - the engine is now out and on the bench, leaving the gearbox in position. So I removed the chain, the neutral light switch, the levers, the rear brake assy and footpeg, the clutch cable and the two mounting nuts/bolts.
For some reason, a previous owner of my 1950 ES2 Plunger restoration, cut out the back of the frontframepetrol tank mounting bracket so they are now 'slots' with the rear open. With me? "Why the f...lip did he do this", I thought.

I am about to buy new rubber iso and a proper head mount for a Mk.3. What can anyone recommend as a supplier and considering prices?
Yesterday, I sent an email to the technical guysat Norton Motorcycles. I have posted it here as I'm not sure it will get answered, but it could be worth discussing.
I have in the past rebuilt many motorcycle engines including Dominator motors, but not recently.

I know it's previously been asked by a member and reply was posted by Anna Dixon, but I'm a little confused still. Anna, you say silver and dove grey tank, is that correct or is it just silver-grey? (like the 650ss).
Could anyone please tell me where the breather from the rear of the timing cover should be routed?
Hi All,
I have a Slimline ES2, does anyone know if these should have a head steady fitted as it does vibrate a lot at about 50mph.
I am more used to commando's so it might be me.

Hi all,
I've been trying to read about the NOC Nat Rally in Devon & can't find a thing about it, even though it took place four weeks ago now.
Has anyone any reports or do we have to wait for Roadholder to feature it ?.
Hi Everyone.
I am a relatively new member and already have made a new post and answered a few queries.
