A Model 50 cylinder I have for the racer to be, is in need of a rebore. I found a +40 JP piston for it, which I'll be taking to the machine shop as soon as I know how much tolerance is needed.
Could anyone please tell me how much bigger the bore needs to be to? And how much clearance should the piston rings gap have? I've heard that could differ with different brands and types of piston, which is why I wanted to ask advice here first, before handing the cylinder and piston over to a general machine shop.
