I have a 1961 Dommi 99. I took the bike out yesterday, after about 5 miles there was a bit of a miss. I turned for home and it got worse -felt like going on and off a cylinder. I took off the carb but no dirt and petrol flowing ok.
Hi chaps - I'm tearing my hair out with this problem:-
I am new to the Norton (though I've been a long-term fan of british bikes in general and the Norton marque specifically) and I have set myself a (very) long term goal of owning/restoring a Commando Hi Rider. What can I say?
Hi i have recently removed the engine from my 16H, its having a bit of a 8000 mile birthday. Seems it had broke the piston rings, there was also 15 thou crank end float but thats another story.
Norton Commando 850 sidecar combination.
I have a Watsonian GP Jubilee Classic sidecar and thinking of havingit attatched to my Commando.
Is the bike up to it? Is the frame to weak? Do I need a subframe.
I wondered if anybody has a solution to a problem I have come across in attempting to replace the layshaft bearing within the main body of the gearbox.
Hi
Can anyone out there recommend a touring screen for a mark IIA commando (flattish bars). Does anyone know if the two MRA vario screens on the following site are any good?
Hi,
Are the wheels of the drum braked 750 identical to the wheels of the 850mk2. Also are fast back and Interstate wheels the same?

Hi
Can you add another column that shows the town or county of suppliers. This would be helpful as members will be able to immediately identify the closest supplier to them
Thanks
This Section was born out of the view that for many of us riding Norton motorcycles was our reason for joining the Club. So, now it exists: what are we going to do?
Hi .

I'm new to Nortons but am thinking of buy a 1975 850 Commando MkIII from a dealer in California. The bike looks sorted and I have asked for an independent assessment.

I've just rebuilt the rear master cylinder on my 1975 MKIII and fitted a Grimeca caliper and stainless hose. I'm sure I've put all of the seals in the right way but when I put brake fluid in the reservoir it just stays there.

Hello,
New French member, Nortoniste since 1968, I had a Dominator 88,99,650 SS,then MK2,MK4 (the best) commando and for 20 years one 850 MK3.
Thought I had dealt with just about everything rebuilding my ES2, having sorted out the excessive oil burning etc, I received the tanks back from being painted and lined evrything was looking as it should for the Easter break.
I've just acquired a 1960 Jubilee De Luxe in large bits with a view to restoring it. it has a couple missing; namely the chainguard and correct front mudguard; the one on there is from a later Jubilee, I think.
Hi, I am looking for parts and info to fit the above -
Parts : the fittings around the foot rests - I can get the bits made if I have a pattern.

Cheers
