Warm and sunny day, got tired of working with my other Nortons and took out my 16H for a ride. A bit sleepy after a long winter rest she didn't start until third kick. Took off happily but....
Please forgive me if this has been talked about and the answer found already but I was unable to find any information on the form.
Hi Chaps...perhaps you can speed up the process of finding out why my M7 starts to run slightly rough, perhaps 8 stroking every time I start to lean the bike into a curve.
My 1935 ES2 which has the original gearbox fitted as confirmed by VMCC has no drain plug fitted and never has had.Any idea why this should be?Thanks.
hi
i see we are still listing George as the technical contact for singles, I think it would be sensible to take his name down, the last thing his family need now is emails from people who don't know the sad news?

Is this nut correct? If so, why such a funny shape?

Should there be a spring washer under the large nut securing the crankshaft drive-side sprocket on the early "dynamo" Donmmi 99? There is a recess machined in the face of the nut on its sprocket side which must be there for a reason?
pardon me again ,whilst done the rear isolastics with much help from yourselves!!
I'm just finishing back wheel rebuild and am wondering if before I thread lock ring in rear hub should spacer and felt be put in there first ?Then install lock ring?
Used Carole nash recovery last night via Boarhunt well impressedthe guy took good care of the old Gal and was there in 30 mins even stopped to check the straps before the motorway (Highly Recommended).
The primary chain has been rubbing the inner c.case on my '55 ES2 so I thought I'd have a look and see of a bigger offset drive sprocket would cure the prob. Guess what - the offset is already at max.
Hello,
Big thank you and bravo to Georges and his wife,Linda and Tim,to the successful NOC stewards who make of this rallye a very big success.
Response times for mail order are incredible sometimes measured in hours well done to all concerned a happy Norton Chappy.

Hi
I have been trying to source replacement tank knee rubbers for my1962 wideline 500 twin.
They are the two hole variety and the distance between centres is 105mm.
RGM do them but with 4.5" centres, too big.
My '71 was coughing and spitting occasionally at low revs...Boyer ignition, 34mm Mikuni, timing and valves right on...my brilliant son asks me for a 3/8 wrench, tightens up the nuts on the coil wires...problem solved...just erratic contact.
Hello, has any one installated Wassel on Commando MK3,experience?.
Just ordered Wassel kit, seams that Boyer started making some mistakes(red box) and i think try Wassel kit.
Have bought two transfers, A2/865, thro. the club. Just require clarification on application. Remove waxy paper, stick on transfer then do I need to wet the backing paper to remove or does it just peal away from the transfer dry?
I just saw the sad news today on the Vintagent website, thought I would pass it along.
can anyone please tell me if there is a product out there that will remove blueing of my exhaust pipes, there seems to be a lot of converstions on the subject but no answers, cheers, terry.
I tried fitting my top end, but had a bit of grief wit it. Because of the peculiarities of my pistons (genuine Hepolite std bore) the gudgeons are tight in the pistons, and have to be heated to install.
I've now noticed that the p/chain is rubbing against the inner c/case. It has a standard drive sprocket and clutch sprocket.
Emailed Karen at Norton and the weight IS 188kg [413.6lb] so wickepedia is about right.

Forgive my abysmal ignorance of things electrical but will it do the dynamo any harm to run the bike with the F and D cables not connected to anything? With apologies -George
Hello.
I'm rebuilding a Navigator and am looking for some assistance in tracking down components.
It has the Deluxe 'central' oil tank and I need to obtain.
1. Rubber mounting fixings for the tan.
