Hi all, I've got a problem with my gear change its very stiff in operation, when changing down the box the lever is not returning to its normal position, so I'm having to lift the lever a little to select the next gear.
More probs! With the bike on the centre stand and the chain (apparently) correctly tensioned I note that it just scrubs across the top of the retaining bolts for the swinging arm spindle cover plate.
Good morning.....
I was happily enjoying a run out on my 1959 99 recently back on the road after 16 years.
If I want to cure wet-sumping do I have to take the engine out to replace/refurbish the oil pump on my Dommi 99? Is a new pump the realistic answer? The engine has never been out of the frame from new, 44,000 miles ago.
is there a special socket to get the middle bolt out because it not thick enough to get the socket on I had a problem to get it out
Hi all
will an interstate tank swap over to my 750 72 Roadster combat, what mods are needed to do this as I could really use some extra mileage out of my tank. Thanks in advance

Are there different way of holding the brake shoes in place?

HI, Is anyone going to the TT this year?, does not appear to be any Norton gatherings. If any members would like to meet up for a beer or whatever ,I shall be going with 2 lads 2 nortons and a Ducati. Bob
Hi fellow commando owners, since I've had old copies of road holder which I've found very interesting and enjoyable I came across early Mick Hemmings adverts when he was selling Rob North type frames for commandos, did any of you build up a bike o
Hello
I'm about to paint my fuel tank for my model 18. Does anyone know which modern colours i can order for the silver and darker gun metal silver, and also which are the correct size norton decals?
Thanks
Colin.
Haven't seen anyone mention this yet. But there is a story doing the rounds that Mahindra (very large Indian conglomerate) is looking at both Norton and BSA.
Tata seem to be doing ok with Jaguar/Land Rover/Range Rover.
Jerry Kaplan recently uploaded 54 photo's of his trip to New York with INOA VP Alan Goldwater. Whilst there they met up with Kenny Cummings who runs the famous NYC Norton Racing shop.
Hi , well , where do I start , bought a 750 commando a couple of years ago ,was scruffy but owner seemed genuine andbike seemed to run well .
Wasn't a good buy ,everything bodged and badly done , put it down to experience .
Just a warning note - my Mk3 commando fell over on the way to Rimini, destroying the handlebar switch gear (both sides!).
The ally housing is fixed to the crankcase with a form of allen screw, and is orriginal. I have not found any key to fit these imperial or metric. any idea anyone?.
Hello everyone, a while back I got online and asked about a problem I have with my 1957 500 Dommie. I've not been able to sort it out yet.
