I'm sorry to see in the news column that Les Rogers died recently. He was a regular face from the very first Norton Days and at the Kent Branch .
Can anybody tell me the lengths of short and long Roadholder fork oil seal holders ? Trying to buy a set for a 62`Dommie i am working on, pretty sure i have short ones, but want to make sure before i order some new ones.

I own for a few monthes a second hand 2010 Norton Commando 961 CafÃ? Racer that had a lot of problems.
The last I faced raised after a LED blinkers installation (problems occured and the flasher has been changed).

Can anybody tell me what the range of years ofmudguards will fit a '48 ES2 is. I think '49 but how about into the '50's? I'm having big problems tracking them down. I see ones on eBay from India but they claim to fit '52's.

I'm not sure if this is the correct forum to ask for for help, maybe someone who has done something similar can offer advice, maybe even point me in the right direction?
There is no reference to a head gasket for pre war ES2 and 18's in my parts manual and in one of my other manuals I have it makes reference to just lapping the head to the cylinder. There is however reference to gaskets for 16H and 1 models.
I am looking for a rear brake pedal for a 1948 ES2 plunger with spigot shaft if possible, if you have one or know where either item can be obtained I would be very gratefull for your help, Cheers
I have had a couple of good runs on my ES2 - 1600km and 1200km mostly at 60 to 65 mph - and it has gone very well except i have been finding the exhaust valve clearance disappears every 400 - 500 km.
A few people have asked me how I am coming along with the Norton project, so I thought I would take some pictures today, and give a little update...
When I am in an on older message page (eg page 13 of heavy twins) and examining a particular thread, then when I wish to continue with my search for data it is annoying that selecting 'heavy twins' again returns me to page 1.
There seems something strange, about all the problems that are arising with ethanol fuels. Discol, and National Benzol, had 10% ethanol, until the 60's, and caused no trouble.

Has anyone a contact for 1 inch bar rubbers for a 1920s bike, open ended for inverted levers. John Bull type or Amal would be good. Approx 4.5 or 5 inches long.
Just starting to restore the frame and tin wear can any one advise on the measurements and thickness of the metal triangular bracket at holds the fuel tank in place, or if any one has a spare one or can tell me if the are available to purchase.
Greetings. Iwill bereplaceing the friction platesinthe clutch assy on a 1972 750 Commando. I also plan on removing the alternator and inside primary cover to replace the oil seal behind the sprocket. This is my first Norton.
I need to get a set of cover screws for my Norton Laydown box at Kempton on Saturday, do any of you know the correct form/sizes for a full set? I think they may be whitworth, but not sure.
maybe a daft one to ask ,but here goes, are the clutch plates interchangeable,what i mean is,if you were to have say plain plates with the tangs on the inside and fibre plates with the tangs on the outer,would it matter if you were to fit the oppo
