Hi All.
Just stripped the head down on my commando and found the valve guides badly worn.
Can anyone recommend someone in the Northwest near wigan, who reconditions and fits new valve guides to nortons.

I have some handlebars on my Mk2 850 Commando that have makers numbers stamped on them. I'm trying to find another set of bars the same but no amount of googling is turning anything up. Can anybody tell me who might have made these?
I have an 850 Mk 2A, first registered on 1/3/74. I am addressing the tacho drive that has just started leaking after some years trouble free running.
I set out today to buy an Avon Road Rider tyre (110/90-18) to replace the increasingly worn one on the rear of the Commando. Not so easy.
My Commando 750 oil pressure relief valve leaks. It looks to be getting past the cap threads. I annealed some new thicker copper washers thinking the cap might be topping out on the valves thread and not compressing the thinner standard washer.
Has something changed regarding use of NOC Shop? I am logged in to the site, go to order some parts and find I have to register; using my site login credentials does not work.
I need to change my swing arm bearings on a2017 sport, due to excessive play, does anyone know the reference number for the bearings ?
Just been sent this picture, what bike is it? I suspect some AI generated nonsense. I await enlightenment.
Good evening all! I'm new on the forum but was a member of the NOC over 20 years ago. I have built a fair few Norton's over the years and still have my old Atlas that I've owned for something like 35 years now.
Does anybody know the correct length of the rear wheel spacers in a 1959 Dominator 99
I saw the following piece in the online magazine Visor Down. True or false I don't know but I like the reference to new models in the 350-450cc segment(hopefully light in weight!).
Without wanting to open a debate on personal oil choices does anyone know what oil the wonderful guru Mick Hemmings would have recommended for using on one of his rebuilt Commando engines.
The search continues!
There's a couple of Commandos coming up at auction. HJ Pugh. Any members know them?
I have photos added to the members gallery but where do you add the photo that shows above your name in the forum items. Everyone else seems to have done it, but it remains a mystery for me.
Hi, can anybody direct me to a contact that could supply a replacement bum stop pad for my Dominator Naked (2018) please? In true Garner style, it came unstuck and flew off!!!
Ideally I want to have the Norton "N" embossed on it.
The arrow on the photo is pointing at a bracket that is bolted to the centre channel section of the lightweight frame. It appears to be welded or brazed to the tubular cross piece.
What is it's purpose?
Will be viewing a barn find 99 today and take pictures. Does anyone still enjoy a re-build ? Cheaper to buy a runner , ?.
After a two year delay retirement has allowed me to start the rebuild of my Navigator which suffered a bent frame after a Landrover pulled out in front of me and I had to part company to avoid T boning it.
Because of my diminishing strength in my legs the act of kick starting my 650ss is proving too much for me . I have researched the possibility of an electric start to no avail..
Hi all.
Dommi 99. I have a new, 42 link chain driving the mag with an auto advance unit, but it's touching the top of the oil pump.
Is a cracked engine sprocket a common occurance or more likely a faulty part ? it was relatively new. Crack is at the bottom, starting at the keyway

Yesterday morning a Maybug flew into the glass of my back door and stunned itself - amazingly hard and heavy for a flying insect. I haven't looked closely at them for years - but this weekend I have been wearing my full face helmet even when trav
I have a speedo in my 99 Dominator, which has written on it 1450 which I think is the turns per mile and a part number of s.609/11
Hello,
I am looking for some information re my 500T ('54). I don't know if it's the same as other 500 singles of that year.
I fitted a combined charge and low pressure oil warning light and pressure sensor to my 750 a while back.
Well here's more evidence that the arse is falling out of the UK classic bike market prices.
Hopefully more folk will now be able to buy and maybe we'll welcome new and younger members to our club.
