1947 B3T Trials
I'm looking for information regarding early 1947 specifications for the 500 singles. I have one of the surviving B3T Trials 500s and am in the process of returning the bike to what I hope would have been the original spec.

I am restoring my 1972 Commando Interstate & need help with the wiring. I am clueless with electrical items. Is there anybody in my area (Coalville) who would be willing to rewire my bike or suggest someone who could.
Does any body have a reference number or place i can locate this switch as mine seems to have failed and all there is on the little box is the reference to BURGESS.

Question for members - '69 Norton Mercury, swing arm with spacer and bushes, with single spindle bolt with two washers.
Manual does not mention Torque setting, they say 60Nm, seems a lot for swing arm.
Hi, I bought my P11 many years ago, been a great reliable bike, easy starter and done many 1000's of miles across Europe. It came with electronic ignition and until a few 100 miles ago, no issue.
In the process of getting stubborn tank liner out. I am going to run the bike over the summer before returning to nuts & bolts and shaking over the winter.
Recommendations for in line fuel filters would be welcome.
Here's a strange one. I've soldered together a magneto timing light with a 3,5 mm audio jack for a headphone and an NE555 IC in it that generates the sound. Naming that component indicates I know about this stuff, but I don't really...
OK So I've got seen 4th gear layshaft cog with number 5 and number 6. Both SEEM to be similar.
Anyone tell me the difference?
Cheers
Paul
All buttoned up and starting well with the new arrangement. The bad news? I noticed no charge showing on the ammeter. After tracing through I have plenty of AC volts arriving at the (solid state) rectifier but nowt coming out of it.
I have a dolls head gearbox with a number TNS 87697 will this be suitable for my 1933 16h

Hi, I'm having trouble finding a new headlight rim for my 1946 Model 18.
Hello All,
I'm hoping someone can help me find the correct speedometer for my 1950 Model 18. The one I have is a 120 mph unit, but is fairly accurate, at 1475 revs/mile. I also need a bottom-pull trip reset, as mine is a side pull.
I was looking a spare to replace the Cam ring in my auto-advance magneto to rebuild it.
Anyone can address me to good source of spares?

Thanks in advance for your help. I am re-installing the fuel taps on my Commando, however I did not take them off, so I am not sure what seals should be in place.
I need to purchase a full gasket set, but see a wide variation in prices. Being a tight Scot ;-)
I would like to spend as little as possible, but don't want to buy junk, especially the head gasket.
Any recommendations please?
I've had an Alton electric start on my MkIIA for ten years. Recently I've come across a few references to the sprag clutch woodruff key breaking under the strain of starting, and mentions of modifications than can be made to prevent this.
Dear all,
clutch cable snapped at the barrel head at the end lever this afternoon. Meant my. good wife had to find a cable repair kit (tracked down something at Euro car parts) as a get me home.
As mentioned before one of the primary chaincase screws had a stripped thread in the crankcase. Further inspection showed that one of the others had already been fitted with a helicoil, It was sticking out from the crankcase.....
It has been mentioned several times that it would be very useful to know where a fellow member is located. If we had such a slot/field could it be alongside ones name and be filled in by the member concerned? Please.
Hi,
What are people doing about luggage?

Need to sort out a good ignition system for my Dommi 88 and leaning towards a Tri Spark.
Hi all, very quick but possibly daft question? If I disconnected the warning light assimilator, would this improve the DC volts for charging the battery?
I hope someone is able to shed some light on my used to be easy starting Commando!
This Saturday 14th there is Daventry Bike Fest on - https://www.daventrybikefest.co.uk
Flushed with success with my starter mods I went out this morning to see if it was still starting. Yes it was. However, I noticed that when the starter operated the primary chaincase was moving about!
Might i highlight a members Commando, stolen from Woolston near Southampton in the last day or so.Red 850 reg: . DGR 'tash' xfer and chrome 'eyeshade' on headlamp with distinctive rear mudflap.
