Rear number plate

Did Norton increase the width of the rear number plate when 7 digit numbers were introduced in 1963?  
My bike has a seven digit number squeezed onto a 6 digit plate, the first number and the "A" hang over the edge of the plate!

Can Anyone shed some light on the racer, entrant, sponsor Nigel Spring? Web is not helping me and I find little in my documentation on his role within the company.

My Commando is popping out of first gear - not all the time but often enough to make a wet cheddar gorge tricky.  I measured the kickshaft end float at 14 to 15 thou and decided to put a 5 thou shim in there and see how that went.

I,m fitting liners to a 750 block to get it back to std bore (it had damaged skirts) and as a matter of interest i weighed the new Hepolite branded std size pistons (made by JCC in Taiwan) and compared it to the +.060 thou JP pistons that were fit

Back in the day, as they say, there was talk of the famous "Twitter" on the overrun, Never happened for me Pw3 cam , Andover silencers or not.    Then one day at Cirencester autojumble I acquired a pair of silencers,for a Tenner!

Knuckle Pin Roller

Hello, have Norton gearbox in N15CS
Took off the outer cover to get chrome plating striped
I have not disturbed the inner cover
Took out the Knuckle Pin from the Change Quadrant, no problem
