Front Brake Binding

Forums

I took my ‘72 Roadster out yesterday for the first time this year.  After 5 miles I noticed that the front brake was binding and I had zero play on the brake lever (it had gradually been reducing).

Frames

Forums

Hi, can anyone tell me if the 1972 Interpol frame is the same as the Interstate frame? Due to arthritis, I'm planning on converting my 750 JPN replica to an interstate, with an easier riding position.

SS Camshaft ?

Forums

My Dommi 88 is fitted with an SS Camshaft ( marked T2219@3 ) it seems. Does this require Pushrods and Valve springs as used on the 650 SS and Atlas models to be fitted ? I came accross this advice in the Haynes Manual (chapter 1 -22 ) .

rear brake plate

Forums

I bought a rear brake plate for my Norton 650ss - advertised as Dommie plate but the brake shoe pivots have wire circlips instead of retaining plate/tab washer and bolts.

I assume it's an earlier plate from ES2 or very early twin.

Hi to all. Can anyone tell me the length of the clutch rod that goes in a dolls head gearbox. As I have ordered and received one but it seem to be two long. Any help in this matter would be.

Hogslayer

NOCcer Fans of 1/4 mile racing will be delighted to hear that Hogslayer, the twin-engined Norton raced so successfully by Tom "TC" Christenson back in the 70's will again be pounding the asphalt at Santa Pod this summer.

Clutch Question

Forums

1948 ES2... Just replaced the cage and rollers in my clutch as the old one was so worn the rollers were falling out.

When I tighten the backing plate nuts the rollers lock up. I have double checked the components and all seems correct.
