Pre-war 16Hs used a Type 76 with the mixing chamber numbered /011 and this continued when the 276 was introduced for the WD16H. Amal then changed mid-war to a system which allowed more precise spares stockage in that the unique code allowed them to recognise every component. "AT" was the code for the instrument specified for the 16H and Big4 from 1946 onwards. It had the "Veloce Type" cold start device and if sold as a spare part, the body was marked 276/408V which took no account of jetting or slide etc. If you wish to retain the cold start system on the tickover screw, you will need a body with one or other of these numbers. If not then an ex-WD mixing chamber such as a 276/406 will be fine.

1BE is simply the code for the float chamber. 0° angle, banjo bottom feed.
