I have a spare rear enclosure, side panels may be a problem, could be an Atlas or SS rear mudguard in there.

Head lamp is also not correct, also front mudguard looks different, chainguard is missing. A lot of work to get it original.

Chrome mudguards were an option on both Jubilee and Navigator from around 1961 but the rear is obviously not original Scrap chrome mudguards are just scrap. The missing panels are likely to be a major problem and the headstock cover is missing as well.

In comparison to classic cars old motorbikes like this are really not worth restoring. You could buy quite a respectable MGB for this money - admittedly a rubber bumper GT but even so it can be made roadworthy for half the cost of restoring a Jubilee.

After having an MGB (long ago) I think I would rather sell a "B" and use the cash to restore the Navvy!. I just turned down the offer of a free roadworthy MOT'd Marlin Berlineta ,You have to do what floats the boat.

I can't sat too much either way as I have five Jubilees/Navigators, two Mk1 MGBs, one seventies MGB GT and one Morris Isis - a big six cylinder from the fifties. The Isis was the car I learned to drive in way back in 1958. The early B is still very capable on the road; cruises easily at 120KMH on the motorway to Dublin and still easily exceeds the magic 100MPH mark (only on the track off course).Today they were all tucked away under their covers as the Summer has gone for this year.

Part of the joy of the lightweights is that they are still cheap, for a grand you could make that into a perfectly good rider. Does of course depend on the condition of the engine.

The lugs can be cut off and the Standard oil tank and battery box can be fitted - I know for sure as I have done this in the past, maybe 15 years ago when running Jubilees fetched a few hundred pounds . Even then the tin ware was hard to find. You need to make and weld on the lugs for mounting the oil tank and battery box, modify the seat mounting etc.

It's not difficult to do if you already possess the right equipment but is it worth doing ? Only you can decide that. But it will cost a lot of money just in parts and materials; new tyres, wheel rims, spokes, exhausts, cables, seat and that's assuming the engine/gearbox/tank is in perfect condition (which it won't be) and assuming that you can do your own welding, frame blasting, and repainting/rechroming yourself.

I did my De Luxe Navigator completely myself and I know that it has cost me at least twice/three times what it would fetch on sale. TV programs like Wheeler Dealers make it seem easy to make money from restoration but it is much cheaper to buy an immaculate machine in the first place.

But then you miss all the excitement of doing it yourself - so your choice.

Hi John, I can't answer your question, the reason I am contacting you is that I have a Navigator for sale that is in good nick, Iam in County Durham, (North East) U.K.johnmcbriarty@hotmail.co.uk Mobile No. 07434413191 The Bike is advertised on Gumtree under the heading "Other Vehicles" (because it is not Taxed) it is Sorned John.

I have just checked and the NOCshop have a rear enclosure but it looks very rusty and the price quoted is not in touch with reality. I bought a vastly better one at Stafford a couple of years ago for £60. You can always make some side panels out of aluminium sheet easily obtained from the local scrapyard. Maybe not perfect unless you are very skilled!.

Most Jubilee/Navigator bits seem to be in the South East of England so Dan is in a good area.

I canât remember exactly but I thought they were reasonable so must have been under £100! .... £75 comes to mind.
