Forums

The engine has never been apart as far as i know , so I am looking for someone to do a full strip and rebuild of the engine and gearbox with some mild upgrades balanced crank new rods ,belt drive ect

with this in mind can any of you guys recommend someone for the job, I'm in the midlands but happy to travel.

hope you can help regards Chris

Hi Chris, as a matter of interest, why do you plan on fitting new rods? You are welcome to pop round to the Shropshire branch meeting for a bit of a chat about Commando engine rebuilding. We are always looking for new blood and have members with considerable experience.

Hi David

thanks for that , the meet aways seems to clash with work for me I'm afraid ,I guess i was thinking of new rods as I was aiming to get the crank balanced and as the engine is in bits replace the old ones if need be.

at the moment I don't have the time or tooling for an engine rebuild hence why I was thinking of paying a pro
