Hi,
Here's a simple question for anyone who would like to help. Can I turn a 1972 750 Interstate into a Roadster by simply changing the Tank, Seat and side panels?
Cheers, Glyn.
Does anyone have any detailed pictures of a Commando production racer.
I am looking for pictures of the first type that used the flat dommi type silencers rather than the later type.
Thanks in advance to anyone who can help.
Hi
Has anybody here fitted an alloy sprint petrol tank fromThe Tank Shop or T.A Bakerto a commando and if so what combination of bars/ clip on's and seat did you use, also did you need the scallops at the front for the bars to clear.
I had the most strange issue just like a block pilot jet on left hand carb
Hi, I purchased a Pazon unit for my 1974 Norton Commando couple of weeks back, Worked fine for a few miles.
Are their any sensible/useful frame modifications that can be made to a 1972 Commando roadster (inc. swing arm)? I have it in bits and it seems a waste not to do anything that might improve it while in this state.
Can anyone tell me the correct location for the tranfers on a 'Wideline' frame. ('Featherbed Regd Design' ; 'Made in England' ); and any others that would have been on the frame parts.
Thanks, Howard
Hi - I'm new to this forum. Looking for some advice on the Brackets/Lifting handles for a 59 Wideline (2-part mudguard) - are Wideline and Slimline handles the same? Asking because I see plenty of "Slimline" but relatively few "Wideline".
I'm attempting to return my 71 750 Commando back to it's origonal state (not concours). It was apparently purple, (Viking purple? anybody have details of the exact paint colour and where to get it?).
My 1970 Commando has a crack on the LH crankcase by the rear top cradle attachment boss. It's quite common apparently and mine has been there since I bought the bike in 75.
I just installed the Sparx 3-phase alternator on my Mk III and it runs great with the Sparx electronic ignition I already installed.
I recently installed a Mikuni single carb on my Mk III and don't know what I should do with the breathe hose from the oil tank- do I vent it to the atmosphere with a little air filter or do I plumb it into my new air filter/carb intake or somethin
There has been quite a bit of confusion amongst NOC members, regarding a thread which started in News and Views on 28th august 2010. That thread has now quietly and mysteriously disappeared from the website; but can be found here:
Require fork seals for a Jubilee. These forks where fitted to a number of over bikes Does any one know if the seals are still available.

HAS ANY ONE GOT ANY TIPS TO REMOVE ENGINE SPROCKET HAVE GOT SPROCKET PULLER ON & TAPPED WITH HAMMER / DRIFT BUT SEEMS TO BE STUCK ON
Hi all, new to this forum and just bought a '62 Navigator as a winter project. Looking through the shop I've found many parts that I need but two parts elude me.
Often when I turn off the engine on my 1975 Mk III Electric Start it makes a loud, harsh noise like a wound-up ribbon spring unwinding for about two seconds. Is this my sprag unwinding, a kickstart pawl issue, or what?
I'm building a 1960 Dominator 88 and have already installed JP pistons. Now, everyone tells me they are 'crap'. What EXACTLY is wrong with them and how can I avoid provoking them into misbehaving?
Harry
Bonjour tout le monde,
I'm having problems with my 99 Dommie, recently resleeved & rebored and equipped with a pair of G"xx" italian-made pistons which seem to be of poor quality.
I have the opportunity to purchase a six month old Commando 750 re-build - a Norvil bike they restored to sell.
Anyone recommend someone to make a dural bracket from a cardboard template? I need one to fit a Brooklands can to my ES2.
Thanks,
Adam
I own a 1953 ES2 and intend to restore this lovely old bike over the winter. I have a box of donated imperial spanners which by and large seem to fit most of the fastenings.
Please could anyone recommend somebody who provides frame jigging and straightening services?
A couple of years ago I submitted an advert to the Roadholder for some Triumph Tiger 90 fork bits, only to get a curt reply from Mr Grimmet about only advertising Norton Items. Fair enough I thought.
Hiya,
Does the NOC have a section that hires out workshop tools for members?
Hi can anyone recommend a company (or individual) who does a good job on tanks and side panels please.
Hi
Has any one fitted a Commando primary chain case to a domi if so what is involved?
