Does anyone have one of these dies to clean up the threads of the steering head tube for the post where the top yoke is held in place? Not sure I explained that too well. Try the top of the centre post of the lower fork yoke.

I am trying to "wake up' a combat that has not ben run in 30 years. I have attended to all the maintenance issues. the bike has only 6000 miles and i do not wish to tear down the motor, it seems to be in good shape. problem is starting it.

Jackie Moore was Norton's Chief Engineer from1937 into the 1950's. He designed the Roadholder forks. These werefirstfitted to a Sidevalve 500ccNorton twin. Nowin a 16H Frame, this machine is in Sammy Millers Motorcycle Museum.

Having just had an MOT failure on my Mk III due to lack of noise when horn button was depressed, I set about trying to establish it's location. Half an hour later and with the help of various manuals I spied part of the outlet trumpet.

Here's a real long shot,

I am getting a false neutral when changing down from 3rd to 2nd.

I have changed all 3 selector springs, but it made no differance.

Any idea's

Hi, I am a newcomer in NOC from Italy.

I got a frame and forks in a job-lot. the only number I can find on the frame, at the headstock, on the downtube part r/h side is 9955.

Hi all - at the recent MOT for my Mk2A Commando I was issued an 'advice note' that the rear wheel bearings are 'tired' - this was a warrented comment as there is some play in them. I've never tackled the wheel bearings on a Commando - any tips ?

Hi, my Commando is smoking badly from one side, it is white smoke, iI am told it could be the carb, any ideas?

Do i need a 1/4 ball bearing in the end of the clutch push rod for it to operate succesfully.

The primary chain on my 1960 Dominator 99 does not seem to last very long. I ride the bike regularly and with some 'energy'. I have just replaced the last chain after 3600 miles with another Renold 'Synergy' 1/2"p chain.

I have a Model7 to renovate. I do not want to remove the head at this stage as I plan to use the bike, ifI can, in it's original untouched state for a while, before renovation.

Having owned a mk111 for about 30yrs, i am considering adapting the footrests to a more comfortable position.

can you still get the rear sprocket drum could you please let me know where. many thanks andy.
