I own a 1953 ES2 and intend to restore this lovely old bike over the winter. I have a box of donated imperial spanners which by and large seem to fit most of the fastenings. However I'm a bit stuckidentifying the various nuts and bolts for replacement. I was wondering if there was such a thing as a fasteners schedule, my parts book does not identify the actual nut/bolt type.

The best thing that you can do is to buy a combination thread pitch gage and a caliper that reads in both imperial and metric.
Then check the bolt shank diameter, length, and the thread pitch and you are in business.
You will probably find that over the years that previous owners have replaced various bits with metric or even SAE nuts and bolts.
As a help in identifying the various nuts and bolts try this: Go to this USA site, domiracer.com and put in your part number. You do have a parts list, right? A lot of times the description of the part will show the length and thread.
Good luck with your rebuild.

Thanks for the advice
