Mk3 Ignition switch

Hi, I need to know which wires to fit to which terminals on the ignition switch of my 1975 850 electic start, the switch has the terminals in a circle with one larger gap then going clockwise one joined pair, one single terminal then 2 joined pairs, the wires I have are white, yellow and green, blue and green and blue and brown, there are no markings on the switch terminals. any help will be much appreciated

Starting with the single terminal numbered 4, this takes the blue & yellow for head light. Going clockwise, the next double numbered 2 is for white powering all ignition on circuits. Next double clockwise is brown & green numbered 3 for tail, clock lights etc. Finally clockwise to double number 1 for brown & blue which is power in. On some switches, there is a hole in the body above this last connector. The wiring diagram in section J of the mk3 Norton Workshop Manual shows the numbers in this sequence. - Alan

Just plug them in with a pretty pattern...you can't cause any damage but you might get some interesting results! Then change the pattern till you get what you want.

Or give up and look in the manual.
