Model 50 (1958) cylinder compression

Forums

Am seeking information as to what cylinder compression I can expect from a Model 50. I have measured a max of 110 psi on mine after a dozen or so kicks. This was carried out on a cold motor; I appreciate that the compression could be higher when all the bits are at operating temperature and correct clearances. I have not delved into the motor but assume at this stage that the compression ratio is the lowly 7.3:1.

I am happy to keep the motor as a 350 but can anyone advise on raising the CR to get a little more pep.

(my 750 Commando with 65000 (own) miles showed 160 psi on a pressure check)

Thanks for yer time
