Has anyone had any issues with runout on the drive side of a Commando crankshaft? When I put a DTI (clock) on the O/D of the crank where the rotor fits and turn the engine over, I get a 3 thou runout.
Anyone out there have a side stand that they can sell me? 1974 Interstate.
Any usable condition appreciated. Can collect from the North West area or Cheque with post and packing funds. Any input appreciated.

I've heard of slides sticking because the flange nuts are done up too tight - but has anyone had a slide stick when the top capheads are tightened?? As long as I keep the capheads just finger tight (looser the better) it works fine.
From new till my bike went back to the factory to have warranty work carriedout - one of the items was a problem with the idiot lights being affected by water - the ECU control light always lit up when the ignition was switched on.

I have a 750 commando fitted with a Mikuni with the choke lever on the side of the carb. I havn't had the bike long and cannot get it to start, can anyone advise if I press down on the lever or lift it up to put the choke on?

I have a 1962 99 and am about to rebuild the head replaceing the old valve springs with new. As it is the atlas type it should have the short ones but the NOC spares only have the 2 in ones. Will it be OK to fit them.

Hi, just taken delivery of my Cafe Racer, and had a great experience with Norton so far, but while getting it run in I have found the seat to be a little uncomfortable after long periods, say 100 plus miles..
Taking the long way home after spending Sat. night camping next to a very windy Welsh beach, called in at Dom's Bike Stop on the A44 Worcester/Bromyard road, on the way out of Leominster. Lovely setting and excellent food and atmosphere.
