I have had my rebuilt Commando on the road for about 6 months now and with a new frame and isolastics, good tyres and suspension etc. It still tends to weave around too much for my liking at 80 and above.

Great news, my ad for a Model 7 oil tank resulted in a response the same day, and now one is on the way. Not sure how to delete the item, maybe someone can tell me how. On to my next question, tank colour on a '53 Model 7.
I have just ordered one for the fourth time now (albeit many years apart) because the worm drive fails.I have checked that the unit sits properly on the internal spacer against the wheel bearing but have no other ideas.Has anyon
I know this has been gone over before, but a search through this site and the 'net as a whole has shown up a lot of conflicting information.
After removing the paint from a recently acquired ES2 fuel tank I discovered the tapped holes for the round 'Norton' tank badges. I haven't been able to identify the thread form or find any screws to fit.
Does anyone have a link or some specific information about the different types of exhausts for the 961. Long, short is there a black chrome one for the SF model? What about availability in the US?

Dear All,
Thanks to all the Forumistas who helped me with my starting/wet sumping problem - or at least I think so. This is because having rebuilt my oil pump and fitted a Dutch non-return valve, the bike won't start.
My domi seem to be suffering from poor oil pressure. Has anybody any information on what oil pressure I should expect from my oil pump? Have tried several different pumps, even servicing one, and doesn't seem to have improved at all.
Hi , on my '74 850 mk2 ,occasionally my rear brake grabs fiercely when the brake pedal is applied under normal (light) pressure, usually it'll be the first use of the brake on a ride, then any further use of the brake on the ride finds the brake n
I have an LED volt meter ( the thing that goes from red to green as the battery volts rise) on my Commando that is now just slowly flashing red.
I am having trouble understanding and agreeing with the blurb written about Dommie points rotation that appears on page 9 in Roadholder 312.
Hello ! The silencer on my 1951 ES-2 looks correct. I know for certain it is at least 40 years old and still in good shape. Appears identical to the one in my 1950 spare parts listing.
Hello ! I finally have my 1951 ES5 on the road and I gotta say, it feels great! Plenty of issues yet to deal with. the magneto is definitly in need of attention but I now have a firm impression of what I have to look forward to.
Hi Guys,
From what I read, this is not a too uncommon problem, but I cannot seem to find a cause or solution to my specific problem, so here I am.

Well Maybe time for the New and newish Norton motorcycles to have a Different web page apart from the vintage and classic machines as the biggest part of Nortons Are of the Vintage and Classic era.
Just bought a voltage regulator at Kemton and I picked up positive earth version. Prewar Norton was negative (like modern bikes) but if I repolarise the dynamo all the wiring colours will be wrong (red negative...) Are there any other drawbacks?
